Strategic Land Promotion

We have considerable experience in promoting land for development for strategic land promoters, housebuilders, developers and landowners.
How we can help
We advise on the potential for land to be allocated for development
Tetlow King Planning advise on the potential for land to be allocated for development in the longer term through the development plan process and in the shorter term, through a planning application where the circumstances allow, for example where a local planning authority cannot demonstrate sufficient housing land supply.
We engage in the Development Plan process by promoting land for development from the local planning authority’s call for sites, through to preferred options and Regulation 18 and 19 stages of an emerging draft Local Plan. We collaborate in the Examination of the Local Plan by providing justification and co-ordinating other specialists, to support the promotion of the land as an allocation in the Local Plan.

How we can help
We promote land for development through an emerging neighbourhood plan by engaging in the consultation stages.
We have successfully secured allocations of land in development plans for housing comprising a few to several hundred dwellings; for employment and commercial uses; and for other mixed-use schemes. We have secured land for development on the edge of settlements and in the Green Belt.
We have convinced the Examination Inspector to allocate our client’s land even where the local planning authority did not want to.
